At Longview FUMC we believe that worship is the center of our lives as Christians!

Traditional Worship

8:30 and 10:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

Faith Matters Worship

8:30 and 10:45 a.m. in the Faith Center.

We believe that everyone, from the youngest to the most live experienced, can find joy, hope, and life abundant in Christ and that relationship starts in praise and worship.  We have  two different types of worship experience for you to explore and find a home in.

Our traditional worship service

offers people an opportunity to worship in our beautiful sanctuary with our talented choir and organist!  We use a traditional liturgy, sing from the hymnal, and offer up praise and prayer! Bring your whole family so the kiddos can meet Pastor Nathan and hear a message just for them during the Children’s Message.  Senior Pastor Jay Jackson, the lead pastor for this worship service, brings a word of hope and teaching each week.  You can find out more by emailing our worship director, Paul Roberts at proberts@longviewfumc.org.

Our Faith Matters service

is contemporary worship that remains deeply rooted in our Methodist heritage. We remain connected to our history by using responsive readings and liturgies from the United Methodist Hymnal. The music ranges from classic hymns to current worship songs so that everybody can discover new and creative ways to worship. Whether you are by yourself or have a family of 8, the table-top seating is casual and comfortable. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this friendly and holy space as you discover why faith in Jesus matters in your daily life.  You can find out more by emailing Associate Pastor Becca Newcomb, the lead pastor for this worship service, at bnewcomb@longviewfumc.org.
