“Jesus matured in wisdom and years, and in favor with God and with people.”—Luke 2:52

At Longview FUMC, we work with families to help children grow like Jesus.  We believe your child is a complete spiritual being that is learning ways to express his or her understanding of God.  Their spiritual growth is cultivated four ways:

  • Learn: Children learn about the Bible
  • Play: Children get to do fun things with their friends in a faith community
  • Help: Children are involved in mission activities by donating to and participating in missions that help them live out their faith in God by helping others
  • Pray: Children develop spiritually as they learn about personal prayer, worship, and the Sacraments

These ministries with children are supported by the volunteer efforts of parents and church members of all ages as teachers, chaperones, classroom helpers, choir helpers, and many other capacities.
